Christmas Newsletter

Season’s Greetings family and friends,

Jamie and I are so excited to share our new lives with all of you. Our Father in Heaven has granted us so many blessings in 2008.

In March we were married in Richfield in a beautiful little ceremony. Afterwards we spent a week in San Diego for our honeymoon. We had a fantastic time and made it home just in time for me to pass a kidney stone. Not fun… if you get the chance to pass one, don’t do it! Jamie claims that I was quite brave, “but I think she was just being nice. New brides have to do that kind of thing. I cried like a little baby.” In January Jamie had a much more serious bout with her health. Her thyroid was removed due to cancer. However, we are happy to report Heavenly Father has blessed her with a full recovery.

If this is the first time you have heard from us in a while we apologize, we have been so busy. Jamie is still working as an RN with IHC, and I am still with SWRI. Even though work seems to take most of our time our employers are not the only one’s keeping us busy. In fact, between the two of us we currently have six callings in our little ward.

Since we are newlyweds we have been trying to travel as much as possible before any kids show up. That is not an announcement! In April we went to Chicago to visit my sister Amy and her family. We had a wonderful time visiting museums, eating pizza, and going to our favorite musical Wicked. In November, we went to Hawaii for a week with our good friends Tim and Danice. It was absolutely fantastic. We surfed, visited the temple, and even swam with a dolphin.
This Christmas season we have been truly blessed to feel our Savior’s influence in our lives. We hope and pray that you and your families find joy and peace during the holidays and throughout the New Year. We love you all and appreciate your love and prayers on our behalf.

Happy Holidays

Love
Justin & Jamie Jepson

Halloween and Hawaii

The month of October went by in a blur. We had soo many things to get done. The one thing that we did though that we had a lot of fun with is the Halloween Party with our Utah nephews and niece. We went to Gardner Village and rode in a carriage with a Witch. The kids loved it as did the adults... We then had them back to our house for a halloween dinner with mummy dogs, monster brains, and cat tails. I think they liked the cat tails best. We then decorated cookies, and just had a blast with Jenn and Robb's kids, and Tyler and Heather's kids. Thank you soo much for coming up and seeing us.

Then before you knew it Justin and I were on a plane bound for......... Hawaii!!! Yes, I know you are jealous. You'll have to try it for yourselves sometime. We were fortunate to have gone with some really fun friends of ours, yes I mean you Tim and Denise. They thought we were just tour guides for them, but we both got to see a different side to Hawaii then we had done before. And we got to do things that neither of us had done, like having a dolphin encounter. We hiked to Makapuu Lighthouse, Moana Falls and spent the day at the Polynesian Culture Center. We went to Pearl Harbor, Punchbowl, and The Dole Plantation where we learned about the pineapple. We got to see and eat many pineapples while we were there. There is nothing like a fresh pineapple in Hawaii.
Other things that we did were to snorkel at Sharks Cove and Hanauma Bay. We got our friend Denise to actually go snorkeling with us which was a big accomplishment for her. We topped off our vacation with a shave ice from Matsumoto's and a hamburger from Haleiwa Joe's. I now have better memories from that place (since the last time I was there our car was broken into).

The middle of November brought my birthday which Justin was so kind and put up crown molding in our bedroom for me, and restained our coffee table and end tables. I love it. I am so grateful that I have a husband that will do this for me. Thank you!!!! I also received many gifts from all of you, and thank you for those.

Here we are!

Hello everyone!! Yes here we are learning a new trade. I thought this would be a fun way to show everyone what we are doing. So I hope you enjoy! September has been a crazy month, but we loved almost every minute of it. Between travel and jobs we have been kept busy, but it is to nice to have each other through it all. We were able to spend a weekend in Park City due to a friend giving us use of her condo for our wedding present. We spent the day riding the Alpine Coaster, visiting the Olympic Park museum, touring Historic Main Street, and shopping the outlet malls. It was a lot of fun.

Just as we finished Park City, then we were off to St. George and Hurricane to spend the weekend. Matt and Jenica were gracious to let us stay with them. The highlights of the trip were Justin showing me Hurricane from the Jepson view, and then definitely Tuacahn's Les Miserables. Justin said that the performance was as good as any broadway production.
Now that's saying something coming from Justin.

September also marked our 6 month anniversary. Can you believe it's been that long already?? We are so grateful for each other and I love Justin more and more each day. He is my rock and I am so grateful that he is here and that I was patient enough to wait and find him. I love you Justin. I hope everyone has a great month, we'll see you after our next big trip. Unless you know us you'll have to wait to find out where we went.
